I feel like his ego was bruised because nobody picked him and he was taking that out on Aniya because he knew that none of the other girls genuinely wanted him so he couldn’t explore the way he wanted to. I also think he’s subconsciously didn’t want to just straight up. Say he wanted to explore sol because he thought that aniya might not explore him anymore. He didn’t want to be alone if he stuck his neck out. He’s moving out of fear and not what he truly wants and I don’t like it. He also lies by omission a lot

i think him asking is a start. this is a learning experience. he was truthful to aniya finally before he left which shows a bit of growth because remember before he’d tell his boys something, it’ll get back to aniya, she’d ask him, and he’d tell her what she wants to hear instead of what she needs to hear. i feel like he’s gonna redeem himself with time, he’s still young, and this is a new experience for every single one of the islanders.
