I’ve recently been diagnosed with Autism (I’m 39 yo, so it’s late diagnosis) and this is all new to me, and I’m learning a lot. I’m a huge empathic person: I’ve felt physically sick when I see devastating news (wars, natural disasters etc) and also I always think how my actions can affect others (for example if I use a self-checkout because my social battery is consumed I always worry if I’m making a worker get fired). I have sometimes said things that can hurt people, I feel so bad and I apologize, there is nothing wrong with saying sorry and trying to do it better the next time.

Also autistic people are fully capable of being bad people. We are not all sweet innocent cinnamon rolls. That's actually a pretty harmful stereotype. Every group of people has it's bad apples. That's how humans work

ok but you can be autistic and a narcissist. they're not mutually exclusive. also the ways in which autistic people experience empathy vary significantly. there are also infinite situations in which someone may find an autistic person's ability to take accountability to be lacking that has nothing to do with npd and encouraging someone to doubt their autism based on that is dangerous.
