Honestly if you’re young I think it’s really easy. Many people will be surprised by your skill & age and will be more than happy to. A Vice President at JP Morgan was my first sponsor. I work at 2K games now though… and even here I actually have quarterly lunches with my CEO Strauss Zelnick. But yeah practice young and everything else will align. Because of my first sponsor, my first corporate job was at 16 in corporate investment banking at JP Morgan.

Sometimes you gotta be lucky. In my first “adult job” in corporate, I had one of the coolest VPs. I saw him holding a book in a photo he was in and had a conversation with him about it because I had taken the same course in college. All of a sudden he was connecting me to almost everybody. I would def say get a sponsor when you’re absolutely ready to take advantage of that next level and connect with people with similar interests if possible. 😅😅
