the reason people hate on characters are sometimes the sole point of them which i honestly think makes the actors amazing. with brick, people with conditions like him are often seen as just cute little kid things when they're younger, but annoying irritating things when they're older, which is lowkey such good representation. with axl, people hate how he developed over the seasons, how s1 axl would hate s9 axl, but it's the whole point of his character development- that he peaked too early in life in high school. honestly it's such a simple yet well written out and acted show
