@childishdom: Most people never define success for themselves. They inherit it from social media, friends, family, or society. Take 10 minutes and do this: 1. Write down what success currently looks like to you. Don’t filter yourself. Just get it all on paper. 2. For each item, ask yourself: “Why do I want this?” Keep asking “why?” until you get to the underlying value. Example: “I want a nice car.” Why? “Freedom.” The car isn’t the goal. Freedom is. 3. Look for recurring themes. Common themes include: • Freedom • Growth • Connection • Family • Adventure • Security • Impact • Recognition 4. Write your own definition of success. Complete this sentence: “Success means…” Aim for 3–5 specific statements. For example: “Success means having the freedom to choose how I spend my time.” “Success means maintaining strong relationships with the people I care about.” “Success means continuously learning and growing.” 5. Ask yourself one final question: “If nobody else could see this, would it still matter to me?” If the answer is yes, you’re probably getting closer to your real definition of success. Most people spend years chasing goals. Very few stop to decide whether those goals are actually theirs.
I wish you all the success in life, whatever that means to you!! 🫶

Everyone has different value systems and motivators. We can all agree money matters but to what extent? For some people success means making a meaningful difference in some way. It does for me at least

I think it's just a way to avoid disappointment by reality. It's okay to recognize objectively by common measure like wealth, or want some of those things by yourself, but it's also wise to decide which dimensions of success are actually worth pursuing for you, it's better than saying "define your own success" it makes you look smaller

For me success is that I’m happy where I’m at and that I’m really fulfilled with my job and the people around me. I don’t have to be happy with everything, cause that’s hardy possible in the world we live in but I need to be happy with me, what I’m doing and the people I interact with most of the time.
