@audhdunmasked40s: When I received my autism assessment report, parts of it felt like someone had been quietly watching my life for years. The things I thought were personality flaws, anxiety or me simply not trying hard enough suddenly made sense through an autistic lens. What was the part of your autism assessment that felt most accurate? #Autism #assessment #latediagnosed #traits #women
I’ve just started the RTC process for Autism and ADHD, have just sent the questionnaires off and having answered all of the questions I’m now in no doubt I’m AUDHD

I think getting the report is both difficult and affirming at the same time. It can be really hard reading I’m all the ways you have struggled and why you meet criteria - but then it’s also a relief to feel seen and believed.

I didn’t fully understand my report right away. Felt like I’d written some of it myself. Was weird.

I've just been diagnosed lately and now it's making my mind spiral cause I want to know me and who I am not just what I've picked up or copied or trying to fit in. it's all such a front I don't know where I start and the masking ends if that makes sense. I've been told it'll take a while for my report to be typed up as it's extensive but I'm so scared to read it and that'll go into another spiral 😅

i'm 53 with autism but not diagnosed. My daughter has been diagnosed and i see so many traits she has in myself. I'm thinking of going to get diagnosed but it takes so long so i'm not sure.

I was diagnosed with autism age 59, three years ago, I had 4, two hour sessions and was asked questions nobody had asked me before, how do I feel now? Not sure, I wish I hadn’t have asked, because now I’m more autistic

It’s such an odd feeling I think because it’s the first time someone mirrors back to you and truely sees who you are

As I worked in a stressful job I felt everyday… is this the last day I’ll be able to continue? I never knew why and it was a relief to know there was an explanation. I actually love myself now. I’m a bad ass! I’ve made it through so much with one arm behind my back.
