today instead of scrolling on my phone immediately, i got straight out of bed, brushed my teeth, read a book for 20 minutes, then decided to practice soccer for an hour and on a mile run. these are all things i've been procrastinating for like 2 weeks and all it took was to put my phone on my desk where i wouldnt easily grab it

I guess the best metaphor in my opinion for dopamine is like gta online, when you win missions and make money it’s fun, but when you hack the system and get infinite money it gets boring (depressing) because you’ve already bought all the houses, cars, etc… so the missions and “free realm” are no longer fun (no serotonin)
