@shewasgiving: Muni Long sat down with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America this morning and revealed that she underwent a double lung transplant after doctors told her she had one week to live. She was diagnosed with lupus in 2014 and knew she was not in a good place physically when she joined Brandy and Monica’s The Boy Is Mine Tour in the fall of 2025. She said she should have never taken that tour but there was too much going on in her life for her to say no. Midway through the tour in the Northeast, the cold triggered her autoimmune condition, she developed pneumonia, and had to step away. She pushed through and came back but her final night she could only perform two songs. When doctors told her she had one week to live she said she chose to get the transplant so she could be there for her son. She is now recovering and her new single Richest dropped today, her first solo release of 2026. She almost did not make it.
