@travellingwithdora: The Lake Oeschinensee hike was one of the highlights of our Switzerland trip. It looks just as beautiful and vibrant as it does in photos. This was taken in August 2025. We drove to Kandersteg and took the cable car (40CHF return) to the top. We hiked the famous Oeschinen Lake Panoramaweg trail which was a proper hike and took us 4 hours. It had spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains. If you don’t want to do this hike there is also an easy 25 minute direct walk to the lake from the cable car. We were lucky we had good weather and so the lake looked amazing and it was warm enough for a swim.
