needing space isn’t the problem, it’s about the communication. If you need space sometimes you gotta communicate that to the people you love and care about. Because if they are reaching out and you’re not responding but doing everything else it’s a kick in the face to your loved ones. So just communicate that you need time to yourself and a real friend will understand and respect that time

That’s cool. But a quick “hey, I need some time alone but I’ll be back” is also cool. It lets others know what’s up (especially if they really care about you) and lets them know to check in on you too cause you’re not self isolating because it’s fun, you’re needing time to heal or deal. Disappearing with no communication at all is weird behaviour and assumes no one around you cares whether you’re there or not, and that’s not the case for everyone.

The kindest thing people can do is politely send a message they need space. Simple communication. Your community are not mind readers.And then dats all, they can take all the space they need. some pple genuinely care. I cannot ignore my community bcos of my own issues. People be making this life harder for no reason. Everyone is allowed all the space they need.💪💪🙏

I completely understand this as i was once the friend who would need time alone, away from everything and everyone, and no one should feel bad for that. However, I do believe that communication is also key in situations like this. A simple “hey I need some space” takes less than 5 seconds. Instead of completely shutting down and ghosting. Your friends deserve that much. It has to work both ways tbh

yes, but i realized its unfair to your loved ones to not communicate, especially if you’re posting. a text message take 5-10 seconds to say “hey hun i’ve not been feeling like myself lately, i will take space”. if you love someone, the inconvenience will be doable. if you love yourself, loving another wont be an inconvenience.
