If you’re reading DC all you rlly gotta know is that there’s these big universe events that happen such as the Crisis event or Flashpoint paradox that change the “universe” it’s set in so depending on the comic you’ll have post or pre crisis stories. If you wanna skip those you can and just jump right into the #1s of a different universe like absolute, but if you want to understand the histories of your fave heroes and/or the timelines of DC you should check them out. Honestly you just need to find what you like and it helps if you find what artist/writers you prefer to read and go off their works. The main thing is to have fun with it! Most DC stories just continue on or get rebooted for the next run so honestly just do you, hope this helps everyone understand a bit more :D

I can lowk help so for dc you wanna start with phase 1 so we gotta learn the core hero’s (Batman,Superman,Wonder Woman,flash,green lantern) so start with Batman read Batman year one it explains Batman’s origin then read Superman birthright then Wonder Woman year one then flash year one then green lantern secret origin that’s phase 1 phase 2 is learning the dc universe as a whole so read justice league origin then Dc the new frontier then kingdom come That’s phase 2 phase 3 learn the big events read Crisis on infinite earth then infinite crisis then flashpoint phase 4 is branch into YOUR fav hero’s read there comics and shit hope this helps lmao
