Drop that. Search duck tutorial. It teaches you ALL the basics. I'm telling you, it teaches you the basic single crochet, increase, decrease, sewing, magic ring, etc. Perfect for beginners. The only thing you'll have to focus on for a week instead of a granny square.

I’m a beginner also! Go to the library and ask if there is a knitting/crochet club - I went to one meeting and the women there helped me and taught me so much!!!!
