It happens to the very best bro, don’t sweat it too hard, just never be afraid to ask questions or for clarification. The only people who don’t mess up are the ones not doing anything!

Hard lesson learned but hopefully now he’ll get a written order so there is a reference that both parties can agree so there’s no confusion. As always, impressive work and along for the ride to see where he’s going with his craft💪🏼

That is how we all learn. We can get lucky and get it right, don’t learn anything that way. Get it wrong, and you have many lessons to learn from. Failure is not falling down, it is failing to get up afterwards.

I've been in this trade for 15 years, and I still make mistakes from time to time. When that happens, I call the customer, explain the situation honestly, and tell them I won't charge for the time it takes to make it right. A good company is built on trust and honesty with its customers. 😊
Keep on welding, young man! 😊💪 🇧🇻

Hint: make a quick sketch while talking to the customer.
Doesn't matter if you're a terrible drawer.. Just squiggle down a rough design.
It would have made sure this never happened, no matter how noisy it is.

A sign of a good fitter/welder is the ability to recover quickly and efficiently when mistakes happen. Good job young man, keep up the good work.

It sure would be a good start of using a respirator while you are young. I started welding and cutting when I was a kid and the worst lesson I ever learned was you only have one set of lungs. now I'm on all types of medicine. If you welding aluminum or galvanize milk is your best friend. Keep on learning and remember you will never be to old to learn new things I've learned that from a old man who I was his boss. I thought him a few things just like he thought me a few things.
