The teenage suspect, who is from the local Blaenau Gwent area, remains in police custody for questioning.📍 Current Progress and DiscoveriesThe Discovery: Following a 48-hour search by emergency services and local volunteers, Lilly's body was discovered hidden in dense undergrowth at approximately 10:10 pm on Monday, 22 June, in the Duffryn Park area of Blaina. Formal identification has not yet officially taken place, but her family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. Scene Activity: A heavy police presence remains on the ground. A forensic cordon and blue police tent have been set up roughly 100 meters into Pilgrims Park near the A467 junction to preserve the crime scene for active examination. Officers are also actively patrolling the surrounding streets in pairs.Police Appeals: Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Steven Thomas has urged the community not to speculate online to avoid impacting the live legal investigation.
