@mad86806: Update: safe with a shelter foster! I so wish Sonja could talk. She’s clearly had MANY litters in her life, but she’s also overweight, heartworm negative, has long nails - everything points to her being an inside dog. But then she was found dumped in a dog park with her puppies. I would love to interview her so she could tell me what her life has been like. She was on the euthanasia list for today but luckily has been extended to tomorrow, 6/24. The runt, Shiloh, was going to be euthanized but thankfully she made it into a foster home through the shelter. The rest of the family is still in danger. Mom is so so sweet just seems a little dejected. Even though she’s tiiiiiired of caring for her many kids, her innate motherly instinct shines through and she wanted to get back to them as quickly as possible when I took her for a quick stroll down the kennels.
