If you want to see manatees in Tampa, it’s only possible during these few months of the year 🐮 📍 Location:Get Up And Go Kayaking – Weeki Wachee 🛶 Tour Options: The biggest highlight of Get Up And Go Kayaking is their clear kayak. You can see straight into the water — the underwater view is amazing. The tour includes a guide who leads the whole way, so the route and safety are well managed. Overall, it’s a stress-free experience. ❗This is the one I chose. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park Kayak Rental offers regular (non-clear) kayaks. You can’t see underwater, but they’re said to be easier to paddle. There’s no guide, so you have more freedom to explore at your own pace. 💪 The Experience: The whole trip lasts over 2 hours — and yes, it’s 100% manual paddling. Congrats, you just unlocked a 2-hour back workout plan 😂 When the sun is out 🌞 it gets very hot, but without the sun it can feel a bit chilly 🥶. Water splashes into the kayak while paddling ❗so bring a towel. 📸 Photos: For tandem kayaks, seating is front and back — bring an extension stick if you want better photos. For single kayaks, your friend can take photos from the side, but the current makes it a bit hard to control. 🐮 Manatees: Overall, it’s not as impressive as Orlando.
