idk how is it in America, but in my culture it would be embraced and celebrated. you are encouraged to dance to make the bride and groom happy. so she was showing off, so what? we even hire in my country professional hidden dancers to pretend to be guests and keep the dance floor looking full and to encourage others to dance. again, just speaking on my experience,if it's not appropriate in America then YTA

I always wear shorts underneath skirts and dresses, it's more comfortable and gives you the ability to sit how you like and move naturally without risk of exposure.

As a dancer, We know when we put on a show we'll be the center of attention. I would never put on a show at another persons party if they didn't ask me to. I would dance as much as I want but casually with everybody in a way that welcomes everyone to have fun, Often people will want to learn some moves and that's a fun activity for everyone🥰✌️💃

It can sometimes be hard to get people up and dancing at a wedding. Often people are shy or embarrassed. If the vibe on the dance floor is just a bunch of people having fun regardless of skill, it can encourage people to join in. Repeated aerials and elaborate dancing likely killed the fun and made a lot of guests avoid dancing altogether.

I was on their side till I heard aerials, Im a dancer and engaged with my professional dance partner, but if I go to a public gathering and want to dance we keep it very small, unless were asked to dance and they cleared the dance floor which happened a couple times.

I'm a dancer and I have dancers friends, in one of my Friends birthday party we literally gave a whole show in the dance floor but we we're all dancers and it was the birthday girl's idea (and also we we're the only ones in the dance floor). OP was just showing off out of spite, no one else was enjoying it and it was obvious.
