as a class A driver i truly believe box trucks should require an endorsement for class c drivers because it’s crazy that a person can take a road test in a regular car and be automatically qualified to drive a truck of this size. sure it’s not hard but there’s certain things you need to pay attention to that most people never think about

if you are thinking about using U Haul, google U Pack. It is the same size, cost about the same, and you don't have to drive it or buy the gas for it.

It’s not going to be any different than the current largest option, a few feet longer and probably about the same height but honestly with the air brakes it probably brakes better than the f650 or whatever

no they should have to have had a commercial vehical license as they should also make all rv owners have at least a special license

The Peterbilt variant isn’t much different than the F650. It’s a gasoline powered, hydraulic brake moving truck. The only difference between the two is the Peterbilt has 22.5s and the F650 has 19.5s

I drive a 2020 international extended cab rollback everyday. Nothing wrong with a regular drivers license holder driving something like that, as long as they’re trained how to do so safely and properly.

I grew operating this type of truck and day cab semis. I haven’t driven one in at least 10 years and I would be wary of operating one today.

i feel like bigger the trailer or truck easier it is to drive. ya u need wider turns but that should be common sense for any driver

The licensing will just depend on the state - some don’t regulate the weight at all, some make you get a non-commercial A, some make you get an endorsement for size, some you can cruise with your typical license

U-hauls and Penske trucks are not the same u-hauls drive and turns just like a normal car but you have to turn just alittle wider the Penske you’ll have to turn wider cause turn radius sucks

Combined weight over 26klbs needs a cdl. Most likely when people fully load these then it will be over that threashold

not all straight trucks require ACDL but I do work for Penske and I can tell you that certain trucks that we rent you have to have a CDL for it. also usually straight trucks are 26 footers this is 3 ft longer you're going to have a lot more swing on it. most people don't know nothing about swing on a truck. I can see a lot of problems with this.
