Sounds like the tree of knowledge. A metaphor that had not yet been crafted at that time.. the tree of knowledge was gifted to man by who God called the serpent because it was forbidden. In all descriptions this knowledge was conscious itself the “voice of the sleeping mind” , the tree of good and evil it was also called. Good and evil cannot be known unless you have conscious.. one can not predict things in and out of time without consciousness. With introspection one can use reason to conclude many things.. in the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve covered themselves with God, came back to look for them. They were aware of the nakedness, they were aware of good and evil. I don’t know if this list is connected firmly with that story, but it is clear that whatever we were in the garden naked serving God we were not human as we are now. Something changed our minds. That is when we became more like the gods than some were comfortable with. that gift given by Enki was viewed as our greatest sin The original sin, the very thing that we are told to be guilty and shameful for possessing. That curse is what was used against us ever since that event. To keep us under control. That effort still exists today. Religion , politics, nationalism, pandemics, drugs, poisons and medical disinformation. All attack the the conscious mind and other mental abilities.
