This is something I wish was talked about more. Everyone thinks college is going to be a party all. The. Time. I never EVER saw that side of college. I wish someone would talk more about what it’s ACTUALLY like living with people you don’t know and wish you never met….

My roommate was so dirty we ended up with a roach infestation, not to mention she stole a couple of my belongings, you can only imagine my shock when I found out she’s an RA this year.

I have depression and other mental issues and so I struggle to keep my place clean because of what I deal with. That is exactly why I don’t have roommates, so my actions won’t affect anyone. I wish it was common knowledge that we should respect people’s living spaces, especially if it’s shared. I’m so sorry you had to deal with those roommates. I hope things have gotten better for you now
