I remember when my friend died, I was 20 and my mom just curled me up in her arms on the couch putting my legs over her lap while I cried. That’s all she had to do. The best place for me to be still 20 years later.

I have a picture from when I was in high school and I was too big to sit on my moms lap (very petite and in her 60s, and recovering from cancer) and I have her sitting on my lap because I was her Velcro baby and needed her attached to me in some way 😭
