I've used aquaphor for 15 years. I live in Florida and don't shy from the sun. One old skool tattoo artist has done all my tattoos and to this day, even my oldest tattoo is still colorful because he uses good ink and knows what he's doing.

You only use the aquafore for the healing part I use cerave lotion on a daily basis and sunscreen in the summer and mine don’t fade on both my sleeves. 😁

Lotion. Take care of your skin, protect it from the sun. Aquaphor and Vaseline are perfectly fine. Use unscented lotion. My husband is a tattoo artist you can put any sort of oil on your black and gray or color, tattoos and they will look good for a few hours, but if they look dull, you need a touchup

Love your ink but don’t like this product. I ordered and had to send it back. It was like putting water on my tats. I’ll stick with Mad Rabbit or Hustle Butter.

Palmer coco butter is all I use on any of my tattoos since the day I got them and there not faded at all. oh and its only cost 10 dollars

Yes, because you were supposed to use baby Aquaphor not regular Aquaphor it has to be baby Aquaphor if you’re using regular Aquaphor, you’re gonna fade your tattoo so yes, absolutely you need some other kind of tattoo care cream.

Aquaphor has petroleum in it. Look at the ingredients. Artists say not to put petroleum on your ink but then hand you a sample or tell you to use aquaphor. Not saying all artists. But some I’ve gone to or hung out with said it.
