@yadaiskey: Many viewers have asked about the source of this image of Charles V. Using museum records and the Capac Cuna Inca (Genealogy of the Incas), this video traces the history behind the painting and its connection to the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire. #History #BlackTikTok #inca #indigenous #king
His Grandparents - Maternal Grandparents (Mother's Side)
Ferdinand II of Aragon: Known as Ferdinand the Catholic.Isabella I of Castile: Known as Isabella the Catholic.
Together, Ferdinand and Isabella are famous for uniting Spain and financing Christopher Columbus's voyage in 1492. Charles inherited his massive empire directly because the lands of all four of these grandparents converged on him.
His Paternal Grandparents (Father's Side)
Maximilian I: Holy Roman Emperor and head of the House of Habsburg.
Mary of Burgundy: Ruler of the wealthy Low Countries (modern-day Netherlands and Belgium). What a lineage !

Basically any thing after 1400s has been white washed, Europeans don’t wanna accept they are the only! ones who went thru the dark age 😂. After the fall of Rome they lost access to the Silk Road

yeah, but this painting was made in the 18th century, and the painters never saw him. i dont automatically decline that he MIGHT have been black, but this painting was probably just a political move to cement him as a black Inca ruler.

Do you know why, the revolutionary leader of the "Empire of Hayti" (General Jean-Jacques Dessalines) had named the Army of the former enslaved african people (who defeated the french Army at the Battle for Vertières, on November 18,1803,) "The Army of the Incas?"
