@worldlyvisuals: A message: The sand paintings (iikááh) are sacred artworks to Diné. The medicine man creates healing ceremonies for the sick, using natural materials from their homeland. Sand paintings were a living altar, a portal where Holy People may come and go to bless and guide the Navajo to maintain Hózhó with the land and universe. Many ancient stories and prayers were chanted while creating the sand paintings, they were not just art, but history returned to the earth to protect the sacred knowledge of tradition for their descendants to remember. - #navajo #sandpainting #diné #traditionalart #worldlyvisuals
some people don't know that they got permission to record from the medicine man to show others this film n clips were posted along time ago

To everyone who may find this offensive, my page and the purpose of sharing this is all world historically based information. I am not personally posting any sacred self taught/doings in this or any of my videos. It’s simply to allow people to see what is already recorded & shown by “Others” history & part of mine that’s shared in todays history books, schools, and museums. It’s just my way of showing gratitude, knowledge, appreciation, and love to different cultural backgrounds. It’s all from love and expression. Thank you🌻

The painting in the video should never be recreated unless you know what your doing and saying. It’s okay to look at in paint and photos but it’s still considered secret.

You’re not supposed to show the painting because they are very sacred and kept that way for traditional purposes. Yea sure it was recorded but now it’s widely frowned upon to show stuff like this
