Valid opinion, cause its how you viewed it but for me as a gay man myself, especially one who lives in Australia and has witnessed what goes on in the rural towns I feel like it quite representative in that aspect and I saw myself a decent amount in the characters. Also whilst Ryan does tell him to stop looking for him, Naim does attempt to do that to some degree and when he originally sees the entity appear at his house he doesn't immediately trust him and actually tries to barracide himself against it, it's only when the entity starts talking that he assumes it might be Ryan (as no one's knows they could even speak). I can't speak on the POC aspect as I'm white, but with the sexual aspect it does mainly skip over the actual relationship because ryan was also romantically involved with hunter (?) for a part of the movie and because of the short runtime. Woth the actual entity whilst the ending is a bit confusing I interpreted it as them leaving their small homophobic and religious town that the entity represnts also meant leaving the entity behind and that the entity is created from the fear instilled by the healer (could be wrong in that regard). I just wanted to extend my interpretation but I can see how you viewed it as such
