Pillowy soft, fluffy, and cute 💕 Dough ingredients: 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ tsp) 1 cup warm milk ⅔ cup granulated sugar ½ tsp salt ½ cup unsalted butter, melted 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 egg yolk, lightly beaten 3½ - 4½ cups all-purpose flour 1 cup heavy cream Filling ingredients: ½ cup unsalted butter, soft 1 cup light brown sugar 2 tbsp ground cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting: 4 oz cream cheese, softened ¼ cup unsalted butter, room temperature 1 cup powdered sugar 1 tbsp vanilla extract Pinch of salt - optional Directions: 1) Add the yeast, warm milk and 1 tbsp of sugar to a large bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer (dough hook attachment). Stir together lightly set aside for 10- 15 minutes or until foamy on top. Add in remaining sugar, salt, melted butter and beaten eggs. Mix until combined. 2) Add 3.5 cups of flour first and then add about a tablespoon at a time until you have a workable dough. Do not over-flour your dough! It should be sticky, but not sticky enough where it sticks to your hands. It may stick to the bottom of the bowl and that’s ok. 3) Drizzle some olive oil in a bowl and place your dough in the bowl. Set into a warm place to rise until doubled, about one hour. 4) In a small bowl, stir the brown sugar and cinnamon until well combined. Take the risen dough and dump it out onto a lightly floured surface. 5) Pat it down lightly and roll it with a rolling pin into a large rectangle, 12 x 24. Smear the butter on evenly and add the brown sugar-cinnamon mixture on top. Pat it down lightly to pack everything down. 6) Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut dough into 12 even strips. Working on one strip at a time, roll both ends towards the middle until the 2 rolls touch and pinch the left over dough to create a heart shape. Continue doing this method on the rest. Grease a baking pan of choice. Place each heart shaped bun into the prepared pan. 7) Allow them to rise until fluffy, about 30 minutes. 8) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour the heavy cream onto the heart shaped cinnamon rolls. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden on top. Cream cheese frosting: Using a hand mixer, beat the butter and cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add in powdered sugar, vanilla extract and optional pinch of salt. Mix until well combined. Spread the frosting onto the warm heart cinnamon rolls.
