It feels so good when you get consistent with waking up at 6am before work and it doesn’t become difficult anymore, just routine!

Love these. My biggest corporate lesson was that you NEED allies. Even if everyone around you is incompetent and you genuinely believe you could do the job better, don’t burn relationships. You have to learn to let things go and stay easy about personality and working style differences. Your likability and whether people enjoy being around you is what gets labeled as “culture fit,” and if people don’t like how you show up in that culture, your role isn’t safe no matter how good you are at the actual work.

All of this! To add, learn how to take constructive criticism / feedback and actually implement it - you will develop faster and get promotions, not only because you improve but because managers will see that as a positive attitude, and see you as coachable and see they are not wasting their time investing in you - being coachable is more valuable than a degree. And if she didn’t convince you on the emergency pouch, do it, the amount of times I have been so happy to realize I have this when I have an important meeting pop up and I need to touch up or got sweaty at some point or when halfway through the day I feel unwell plus then you become the go to person which creates bonds with coworkers and you get perceived as someone who is prepared and organized and this can reflect on your work as well. Some things I carry in there in addition to what she mentions, deodorant and deodorant wipes (the wipes make you feel clean and then apply deo after), emergen-c packets, electrolyte packet (sometimes you feel unwell but you are just dehydrated), variety of meds, sore muscle cream, and so much more. I will say sleep training can take longer, I a few years ago I took a job at another company that started office hours an hour earlier and it took me 9 months to adjust 😂.
