![[Part 5] When I first started wearing wigs, words like T-Part, C-Part, 13x4, and 13x6 felt like a whole different language 😅 If you’re a beginner, don’t worry. This is actually easier to understand than it looks. In Part 5 of my beginner wig series, we’re talking about parting space. Parting space is the area on the top of your wig where you can part the hair and make it look like scalp is showing underneath. The more parting space you have, the more freedom you usually have to style the wig. A T-Part or C-Part wig has a fixed part. That means the part is already made for you. This can be really helpful if you’re new to wigs because there is less styling to figure out. You can throw it on, adjust it, and go. T-Part and C-Part wigs also usually cost less, which is nice if you’re buying your first wig. But if you want to change your part, do a side part one day and a middle part the next, or have more styling options, then you may want a 13x4 or 13x6 lace front wig. The numbers are not as scary as they look. The first number is the lace width across the front of your head. The second number is how deep the lace goes back. So 13x4 means the lace is 13 inches across and 4 inches back. 13x6 means the lace is 13 inches across and 6 inches back. A 13x6 gives you more parting depth, so you have more room to style and switch things up. Beginner tip: if you want easy and affordable, look at T-Part or C-Part.
