But sometimes it’s nice to feel things, let emotions drive you. Sometimes it makes me feel more alive, compared to controlling everything. Is that bad?

I think this is why you mentioned learning nervous system regulation is soo important. Your thoughts are not you but your thoughts can release chemicals in your brain (flight fight fawn) hyjacking you. Awareness, watching the mind, respond rather than react.

In some languages this is built in. Irish, I have sadness on me. It's not a permanent state. English, I am sad, permanent state.
