@foodeatingfun: Squishy black cake “babă neagră”, a comforting Moldovan treat. ⬇️RECIPE -5 egg -1 pinch salt -1 tsp vanilla -150g (3/4 cup) sugar -150g (1 cup) flour -100ml (1/3 cup+1 tbsp) (sunflower) oil -125g (1/2 cup) kefir or buttermilk -100g milk (little less than 1/2 cup) 1 tbsp baking soda Splash of vodka (honestly optional) Technique: -THOROUGHLY grease and flour a baking dish, the recipe isn’t fussy and you could probably use anything even a Bundt pan -mix eggs sugar vanilla and salt until frothy at the top - in another bowl add each of the ingredients in order, mixing thoroughly between each. After the baking soda let it sit for about 5 mins to get bubbly -Add the two bowls together and the vodka (I don’t think it does much but I may be wrong) -pour batter into the prepared pan and wrap it fully with foil so that it is as airtight as possible -bake for 1.5 hours at 200c/390f, then 1.5 hour more at 150c/300f, don’t open the oven -it will be extremely hot so let it cool for a while #cake #babaneagra #internationalfood
