Many people think stronger glutes only come from lifting heavier weights, but strength can be built in lots of different ways. In this sequence, the standing leg stays under constant tension, working hard to stabilise the pelvis and support your body weight. That extra time under tension is what helps build strength through the glutes and deep hip stabilisers ✨ The moving leg is lightly loaded with an ankle weight and works through a long lever, increasing the challenge through the glutes while the deep core helps keep the pelvis, ribs and torso steady. Knee bends are going to target your quads, not glutes. Your knee going almost over your toe wouldn’t be correct. You’d need to sit back in order to target glutes.
