You make a great point, it’s so important not to make drastic decisions especially in the first years. Laser for me was the best first step. On Amazon a great laser is $200-$300 and took me only a couple months of dedicated use to create a life changing effect. Transitioning takes time and patience. Thanks for the video, hope it can help someone.

I've always wanted to get my nose done cause Ive hated how big it is since teens, I don't know how hrt would affect this so i see no real harm in this? Is that something I should be pushing odd too? actually genuine question 😭

I don’t agree. In my first 2 years of transition I got FFS solely on the bony structures of my face that HRT wouldn’t affect (browbone, nose) and two hair transplants. My good quality of life and early passability is solely due to my decision to get those surgeries as soon as possible

I have a bit of a different opinion with ffs in particular but generally would agree it’s best to hold off on any surgeries for a few years and let hrt do its thing. For me I’m only 9 months into hrt, and I am very fortunate to have ffs covered by my insurance scheduled for April 2027. For me personally, I know that if I ever want any chance at passing FFS is going be necessary. I have very masculine facial features really in every conceivable way tbh and this isn’t just my dysphoria speaking lol my surgeon agrees lol. It’s just what I was born with born with and yes I’ll continue to have some fat redistribution facially but the things I’m getting done with FFS are mostly bone and bone doesn’t change, jaw/chin contouring, brow bone reduction and hairline advancement. So I say all that to say there is definitely nuance here where I think it’s appropriate for someone to consider surgery earlier. I don’t think that FFS is necessary for all trans women to pass even those with masculine facial features but for some and definitely for me I know it will be necessary and something I feel confident in. But def good points. I have some nerves about the uncanny valley effect and being a little shocked post op! But def am preparing for that and am aware it is common and usually temporary after surgery. Even cis people who get work done have this sometimes. Luckily, and this was also my personal priority the surgeon that’s covered by my insurance is really good at what she does and is known for focusing on natural feminizing results and really trying to take existing features and feminizing them rather than trying to achieve a certain look. Which all power to the girls who go for FFS to achieve a certain snatched feminine look, that’s just not my goal!

I wanted so much surgery in the beginning because it was during the time all the dolls on YouTube were posting their ffs transformations but I was only 17 (I’m 26 now) and I’m so glad my surgeon told me to wait a little and didn’t just agree for the purpose of taking my money.

most people have faces that can look gender ambiguous btw. Skincare and makeup go a long way, you just need to find what works with you while your face comes in
