@corrupted_dae626: Exploring the bare minimum of the Hawkins Lab 😅 I had made friends with the Demolition project manager & luckily he let me explore a little🥲 they had already began breaking down parts of the building. I was too scared to go further in but also did yall see that dark ass hallway? 😅 ain’t no way lol plus I was by myself 😂 I do kinda regret not going further in now. Guess I’ll never know🫠 RIP Hawkins Lab❤️‍🩹 📍 Atlanta, Georgia. Some fun facts about the building: The real life Hawkins Lab was actually Building A of the former Georgia Mental Health Institute on Emory University Briarcliff Campus. It operated as a psychiatric hospital from 1965 until 1997. Emory purchased the property after it closed & used parts of the campus for offices, storage, etc. then was ultimately used as a filming location for Stranger Things but unfortunately is now being permanently demolished. I don’t believe they have FULLY finished the demolition yet, parts of the building might still be up so if you happen to be close by and want to check it out I’ll leave the address below. (Please be aware there are police guarding the front building gates & will possibly turn you away since it’s an ongoing construction site, especially during non working hours) Address: 1256 Briarcliff Road NE in Atlanta, Georgia #strangerthings #hawkins #hawkinslab #eleven #vecna
