@beautyinthebeasts: Body dysmorphia isn't just feeling a bit chubby. It's constantly checking mirrors, reflections, and even your phone camera to analyze every wobble. #BodyDysmorphia #MentalHealthAwareness #SelfLove #BodyImage #UnderstandingBDD
First thing I do in the morning as soon as I wake up is feel how fat/flat my stomach is and depending on that is what mood I’ll be in

Body dysmorphia is also not being able to look in mirrors, or be able to look down at ur body in the shower or bath, or you isolate you self from going anywhere for the majority of the time because you believe you are to roughest nastiest thing and everyone is judging. It’s crippling anxiety and self loathing where u can’t leave you bed and you feel frozen.

Every single reflection, every day, 24/7, just after eating, first thing in the morning, ALWAYS 🫠🥴

I think something I struggle with is feeling full - when I have a full tummy I look at myself and think I look so much bigger. And I’m not just talking about my belly! It’s my arms, my face, everything. It’s really really strange! Then if I haven’t eaten much in a couple of days (sometimes even just a day!) I will feel like I look skinny again. Even though I’ve definitely not lost or gained any weight either way. It’s all mental. I love watching your vids and it will help so many - thank you ♥️

Constant checking, looking back photos, check checking checking and it just keeps reinforcing the loop, I have it but more related to my face than my body. It’s absolutely taken over my life unbearable. I don’t even know what reality is anymore

I try to avoid mirrors when im out because I'll pick something i don't like and get sooo irritated and ruin the day even at that i'm so uncomfortable in my own skin. Same dialogue in my head of people thinking I'm fat or ugly. Its so exhausting.

Agreed. I feel like the term is thrown around so loosely nowadays but it’s so much more than feeling abit insecure

I can’t look at myself in mirrors. Every time I do I’m extremely saddened by what I see. Nothing is what I want or how I want it

Since loosing 110lb I struggle so much more. I weigh every single morning, constantly looking at mirrors (which I hate doing, as I hate the way i look), take lots of videos and photos comparing the pervious and even 1st ever photo. I just can't not seem to understand I've lost the weight, I still look at my imperfections and notice my stomach, wobbly legs... Paranoid about gaining any weight. It's awful 😢

the difference between feeling insecure and being consumed by it is so important. awareness like this is what helps people feel less alone in it
