I'd be so pissed because if that happened to me I'd be at the police station making a missing person report and calling all her relatives I can possibly contact. It's not just being a coward this is literally emotional abuse if you actually look missing. Good thing he was just upset & confused, I'd have a panic attack thinking my partner is in some basement and some weird person is texting from her friend's acc (making it possible that the friend is in danger as well).
