@number.seven.gurl: In 1947, Jamal Husseini headed the Palestinian Arab delegation at the London Conference on Palestine. The conference had been called by Britain because it could no longer manage the growing crisis in Palestine and was looking for a political solution. The position Husseini was arguing for was not partition. He and the Arab delegation opposed dividing Palestine into separate states and instead called for an independent, democratic, unitary Palestine with an Arab majority government and protections for minorities. They also demanded an end to large scale immigration and an end to the British Mandate. #Palestine

It is interesting why, since 1948, Jamal Al Husseini did not want to live in Palestine, which was occupied by Egypt, but moved to Saudi Arabia.

Name one Arab country either full equal rights and civil liberties for minorities or democracy or that isn’t run by an authoritarian dictator/regine. HINT: Does not exist.

Husseini and the Arab Higher Committee formally rejected the United Nations' partition plan, threatening that the Arabs would "drench the Holy Land with blood" to defend their land.

The One :
The Ottomans lost the war and The Middle East was carved up by England and France. Full stop! Ottoman deeds were no longer valid. The territory of Palestine was carved up. The Jews accepted their piece and created Israel. The Arabs rejected, and and got 4 states instead of 5
