@corrieehammond: one of the biggest misconceptions in bridal is that the number on the tag tells you how a dress will fit. case in point: these gowns are from the same designer the size 6 fit beautifully. it was comfortable, easy to move in, and honestly felt great. meanwhile, the size 10 was significantly tighter and far less comfortable. how is that possible? because sizing is only one piece of the puzzle and fit is heavily influenced by: • the fabric itself (stretch, structure, thickness, drape) • the pattern the gown was drafted from • where seams are placed and how they shape the body • internal construction and boning • the cut of the silhouette • how much ease the designer builds into the pattern this is also why we always tell brides not to get attached to the size on the tag. wedding dress sizing isn’t standardized, and even within the same designer, your size can vary from gown to gown… your stylist should be putting you into things based on how the gown is going to fit on you, not the tag number. @Strut Bridal Salon #bridalstylist #bridalinfluencer
