They freakin knew. They chose to look the other way. My daughter went through this. His family knew what my daughter was going through. They had cameras everywhere and controlled her. He almost killed her a few times. We were in another state. Tried soo many times to get her out. He used the kids against her. His family always said they didn’t want to get involved. Shame on their family. Disgusting. If my son did this, I would beat his ass. We finally got her and the kids out. She is rebuilding the life he tore apart. I am proud of her. Shame on those parents who ignore this.

Most abusers families know. My exes family knew, and was more worried about protecting him than some girl. It’s just sadly how it goes. I hope she’s found eternal peace ❤️🩹

I lived in a household where my mother was severely abused by her boyfriend. For Everyone judging the family/ friends for not saving her- it’s really not that easy. I watched my mother go through this for years and time after time people tried to help her, when she wouldn’t leave the people around you start giving up. Then the victim starts isolating themselves to hide the abuse and possible repercussions (they want to protect their abusers). Unfortunately the victim has to be the one to make that decision. You can put him in jail but the minute he gets out the victim goes back. It’s a terrible cycle of control and violence. I do wish someone reported the abuse to DCF. But until you live this you really don’t understand how hard this cycle is.
