A deeper retracement doesn’t automatically mean a better trade but when the market is clearly trending, it can give you a much cleaner entry. ⚡️ 📈 In a bullish market, instead of chasing price at the top, you can wait for price to retrace into a lower valid bullish FVG. 📉 In a bearish market, instead of selling after price has already dropped, you can wait for price to retrace higher into a valid bearish FVG. Why does this matter? A better entry can allow you to place your stop beyond a logical market structure level while keeping the distance between your entry and stop smaller. That can improve your risk-to-reward without forcing an unrealistically tight stop. But an FVG should NEVER be the only reason you take a trade. Before entering, ask yourself: ✅ Higher Time Frame Bias: What is the larger market actually doing? If the 1H/4H structure is bullish, I’m more interested in bullish FVGs than randomly trying to short every retracement. ✅ Market Structure: Is price actually making higher highs and higher lows in a bullish environment or lower highs and lower lows in a bearish environment? Look for structure and displacement that support your idea. ✅ Liquidity: Where is liquidity sitting? Did price sweep a previous high or low before moving into your FVG? Liquidity can help explain why price is retracing there in the first place. The goal isn’t: “Price touched an FVG → enter.” The goal is: Bias + Liquidity + Structure + FVG = Confluence. 🎯 Stop chasing price. Wait for price to come to your level. A good setup tells you direction. A good entry improves your risk. Risk management keeps you in the game. #DayTrading #daytradereducation
