If you have ever thought to yourself, “Wow, influencers make so much money. If I had that money, I know I'd just give it all away.” Well, me too. But the reality is the temptation of wealth and material possessions is so heavy, Jesus says it is harder for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven than for a camel to enter into a city through a really tiny little door (would have been historically relevant back then lol). Money pulls at you, and when you love money you never have enough. One may say, “I don’t love money, I don’t have nice designer things.” But loving money is less about what we have, and more about what we don’t. How much have you uncomfortably given away for His kingdom? Whether you have a lot or a little, the goal is the same. Sacrificial spirit-led giving. That’s why we know the only way to protect our hearts from the money that is already here and is to come, is to continually challenge our giving even while reaching our financial goals. I think most people assume influencers at my level make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, and that may be true for some, but because I am so picky with the ads I do, my husband and I combined are currently making a very comfortable middle-class living. If I can’t earn the money the right way, I don’t want it at all. $5,000 is the most we have given away at one time and honestly, I initially only wanted to give $3,000. But the Lord gave me a dream and told me, “not $3,000 but $5,000.” My Bible reading the next morning was about Isaac and how Isaac planted a field and the Lord prospered it 100-fold. Again, I found my heart challenged to give uncomfortably. I learned yesterday that it costs on average $2,000 to do an undercover operation to free one child from *** slavery. My heart aches.. The Christians being killed in Nigeria, the woman who cries in the night because all she wants is to be a mother, the ministry family and single parents who can’t afford new shoes for their children, the list goes on. They all need the same thing. FUNDS. Pray for us that we will withstand temptation. Pray for us that God would grow and use this account for His glory. Pray that the money we have would prosper and the Lord would use it to bless hurting people and save countless souls. I can’t wait to be at the point to freely give, but the devil will stop at nothing to make sure we don’t get there. Only God’s grace will see us through. Giveaway winners will be announced May 1.
