I knew how pads worked, but not tampons and my stepmom only wore tampons. Well I started and the only other person home was my step brother I'll never forget him putting his foot on the toilet and saying it's supposed to be easier that way and he handed me the insert after reading it to me so I could see the pictures.🤣 I was so embarrassed but honestly now he's a girl Dad and I just know those girls are gonna grow up so loved and understood and 10/10 he was so kind and understanding bc I was clueless asf🤣😭😭

My daughter had already her period for 3 years, We had ALL the discussions One day she looked at her father and said " Dad, how do you use Tampons?" I wish I had been there to see his reaction! 🤣 I asked her why she asked him since she already knew how they worked. Her answer? "I wanted to watch him squirm" me "why?" " I thought it would be funny, I was right. " 🤦♀️

We have sex education during biology in school (with charts and written tests), not once, but once a year almost. I knew how to use tampons (in theory) probably as an 11 year old boy. But I live in Sweden so... Anyway, so proud of my daughters helping each other out.

My mom passed before I started. At 18 I was working and ran out of pads. I didn’t have money for anything so o called my best friend. She was broke too but had tampons. Her and another friend came to my job and talked me through how to use them. Forever thankful for ally and Hannah ❤️

This is super sad. So many girls were never taught having to drag with periods and everything else as a young girl. The only thing they knew was it was something to be ashamed of and kept quiet about it.

my mother taught me NOTHING so I had to read everything and depending on a close friend to fill in the gaps. I made sure my daughter was prepared by 3rd grade and her twin brother sat in on every conversation bc I didn't want him to be clueless either!
