if ai takes all jobs then where’s all the money gonna go? The economy would be messed up

AI doesn’t think, it takes existing data and spits it out

ai can only think in the computerised sense, it’s impossible for it to form an opinion on it’s own because it’s reliant on its programming

partly correct we just have a consciousness which then decides if it wants to act out on those predictions

ai is comparable to slime mold in terms of actual independent intelligence. ai doesn't do anything without a goal to become more efficient at or a prompt telling it what to do

AI can only ever be commanded and trained to optimize certain traits; while this looks like mindish; it is governed by neural networks which don’t precisely bring consciousness. I could map a bunch of neurons onto a graph by moving them up or down, but only if they reach the graph; if one neuron overshoots, go down; and if one neuron undershoots, go up. The graph would quickly be reached; yet, the neural network isn’t conscious at all; it simply responds to the environment, it takes coordination with the neurons in a sophisticated fashion to produce consciousness in the first place, as the neurons are now in “control”.

I mean prediction is a form of thinking, but predicting is limited by your knowledge, you can't predict or "think" of something you never knew or something you never encountered as non-sentient AI, humans can though.
that's why we had to undergo an extreme philosophical revolution before an industrial one.

Tom🫀 :
Humans using prediction as *part* of cognition doesn’t automatically mean ai thinks for itself. Humans have their own motivations, experiences, consciousness and can choose to think about something without being prompted whereas ai predicts outputs based on patterns in data.
