@FIFACom, @FIFAPRESIDENT I respectfully petition the Fifa Referees Committee to review the conduct and decisions of the Honduran official Saíd Martínez who officiated the Ghana vs England match. Throughout the match, several critical decisions appeared to go against Ghana and materially affected the fairness of the contest. In particular, Ghana was denied a clear penalty opportunity when Prince Adu was brought down by Ezri Konsa in the second half, yet no penalty was awarded and no obvious VAR review was conducted. I further draw FIFA’s attention to the incident involving Jordan Pickford, who charged outside his area and collided with Prince Adu without making contact with the ball. To the surprise of millions watching the game, the referee awarded a free-kick to England instead of ruling in Ghana’s favor, which raised serious concerns about consistency and correctness in the application of the laws of the game. I respectfully request that FIFA: 1. Investigate the referee’s performance in the match. 2. Review the VAR handling of key incidents. 3. Determine whether the officiating met FIFA’s standards of neutrality, consistency, and accuracy. 4. Take appropriate disciplinary or corrective action if any breach is established.
