Understand your point and I agree that poverty is not always a choice. If we look at why people are poor it is because of a lack of effceiente conomic policy and implementation. Example: If tenders are given to people to build a school and give the school proper teachers and resources then we would see more kids with matric and degrees but instead the teachers come as they please and the people who run these tenders don't give them books and resources so of course it will lead to kids having child pregnancies and drug abuse which leads to poverty and unemployment.
