It’s pushed by haul culture, constant restocks, and trends that make it feel normal to always want something new. And no, this isn’t harmless. Every unnecessary purchase still requires resources, labor, packaging, and shipping, and most of it eventually turns into waste. That adds up to pollution and environmental damage that doesn’t just disappear once the video is over. BUT IT’S MY MONEY AND I CAN DO WHAT I WANT🫠… People love to say “it’s their money, they can spend it however they want,” but that argument skips over the bigger picture. Consumption doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
