As someone who went through this ALMOST EXACT situation (I literally could have been the one to write this) - Run! Run, far far away! As soon as the reno was done, he kicked me out, ended our engagement - it was brutal. Now I'm left picking up the pieces and left with a ton of credit card debt. Don't do it!
