@unclimatechange: These are the temperatures forecast across Western Europe today. Europe is warming faster than any other continent. France has just recorded its hottest ever day on record and the UK experienced its hottest June day since 1976. This isn't normal. Climate change, driven by the burning of fossil fuels, is making heatwaves more frequent, more intense and more dangerous. Heat doesn't disappear when the sun goes down. Hot nights prevent our bodies and homes from cooling, increasing the risks to health, especially for vulnerable people. The longer people are exposed to heat, the greater the impact on their health. We need faster and more ambitious climate action to protect people from the growing impacts of extreme heat.
