Everyone calling for this woman’s head should read Fatal Distraction by the WaPo. It’s a travesty that this woman is facing 17 years in prison. The word babysitter here I think is intentional to suggest youth, but she was a 46 year old woman looking after her best friend’s granddaughter, who had a tragic lapse in memory, as do dozens of Americans every year leading to the same devastating outcome.
