@ciao.its.giulia: This video finds me in Barentsburg, a small Russian settlement in Svalbard, deep in the Arctic. 🇷🇺❄️ One of the most interesting places to me here is the local supermarket. Until recently it was just a tiny shop counter, but it has now been renovated and expanded into something that feels much closer to a regular supermarket. Getting products here is anything but easy. Almost everything has to be transported over long distances through challenging Arctic conditions, which makes stocking shelves a lot more complicated than in most places around the world. Another curious detail: prices are displayed in both Norwegian kroner and Russian rubles, and the amount can actually differ depending on which currency you use. However, paying in rubles is generally only possible if you have a Russian bank card. Life in the Arctic is full of little surprises like this.
