People's arguement that its only a week out of the year doesn't stand anymore. Yeah a couple of years ago it was but not anymore. It's only going going to get more frequent because of global warming. If you can afford it I really think people should consider getting AC.

I rang Amazon 4 times today because they rescheduled my AC unit delivery and I demanded them to put it back to today because I’m STRUGGLING that much. Yes I was that customer but I’m pregnant, sick and HOT so sue me 😂

We can’t afford the ac unit for the sake of a week a year. We then can’t afford to run it for that week because of electricity and water prices

nah, we invested in a portable AC unit just over two years ago when my daughter was born because our bedroom regularly exceeds 30° in summer never mind this sort of heatwave. so it's in its third year of use, which works out about £100 per year so far plus energy cost - but my rationale is very much what would you be willing to pay for comfort in this weather? if you're willing and can afford it I don't see why not. as others have said, we have Xmas decorations that get brought out for a very limited amount of time - arguably this purchase works out cheaper especially if you buy a live tree every year 🤷🏻♀️

they're expensive to buy and run when we don't have a lot of weather like this. the only reason I allowed one was because we have solar panels to pay for the use of them 😂
